URGENT - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

JUDGMENT TO BE HANDED DOWN IN MOTHER-TO-CHILD TRANSMISSION CASE BY THE
PRETORIA HIGH COURT ON FRIDAY 14 DECEMBER 2001 AT 10h00

The Treatment Action Campaign is pleased to announce that it has been
informed that the judgment in the above case will be delivered by
Judge Chris Botha at 10h00 on Friday morning, 14 December 2001, in
open court (Venue: Pretoria High Court).

The TAC and its allies will hold a press conference in the precincts
of the court shortly after the judgment is delivered.

There will also be a press conference in Cape Town at 12:30 (subject
to no delays in Pretoria) at Town One Properties Sulani Drive Site B,
Khayelitsha (opposite Sanlam Centre).
