8 August Community Day of Action: List of Events ------------------------------------------------ (There are additional events that have come to our attention in the last 48 hours, but unfortunately we haven't had time to coallate them in this document - apologies) GAUTENG PROVINCE **************** East Rand --------- Events will take place in Katlehong, Thokoza, Vosloorus and Rondebelt. Peak hour pickets in the morning, distribution of pamphlets/stickers/booklets and condoms at stations, taxi ranks and shopping malls. March from Natalspruit Hospital to Huntersfield stadium in Katlehong, starting at 12:00. During the march, marchers will continue to distribute material. There will be pamphlet distribution at peak hours at Park Station, Wanderers Taxi Rank including trains and all inner-city malls. Workshops will be held at Coronation and Helen Joseph hospitals. These will include pamphleteering and a workshop for local government. Mdantsane Indoor Sports Centre ------------------------------ There will be a full day event, with registration starting at 9:00am and the programme beginning at 10:00am. The programme includes choir singing, games, drama and discussions on (1) the TAC treatment, (2) the role of women and (3) the role of youth.
